Hey, I just wanted to make a comment about KPHC. They poorly planned out this project and also have unexperienced management handling this project since day one. Upper management rarely see’s what is really going on here. Eventually, HealthConnect is going to stay, but the price of this project will fall upon members.

I first read this story last week in the WSJ. I can only give you many kudos for what you did and the publicity it has provided. I work within an IT department for a large corporation and have witnessed hundreds of millions of dollars spent on failed projects. Many times these projects could have been successful if the higher-level managers would execute honestly and not have an alternative motive. Many times myself and team members have exposed mis-directions of projects from the very beginning, only to be silenced or swept under the rug by those at a higher-level. The end result is similar to what it seems has happened at Kaiser- money/time lost and to recover the loss of money- our companys’ customers suffer higher prices for service. Justen, your act of defiance is one that must be done more often by employees of corporate America, when such “fleecing of America” exists all too often. I applaude you!
