The roads which lie ahead.

I have loved Maya Angelou for about as long as I can remember. In my office, at Kaiser Permanente, I kept dozens of cards from The Maya Angelou Collection from Hallmark. Birthday? Check. Get well soon? Covered. Loss of a friend or relative? Sadly prepared. Anytime anybody in the office needed to send a card, I was like a small Hallmark store, right down the hall.I miss that.
“Each of us has the right and responsibility to assess the roads which lie ahead and those over which we have traveled, and if the future road looms ominous or unpromising and the roads back uninviting, then we need to gather our resolve and, carrying only the necessary baggage, step off that road into another direction.”
The right and the responsibility.
