If you know me, you know I absolutely love Maya Angelou. I truly believe she is one of the most remarkable people to have ever walked the earth. I like Hillary Clinton a lot, too, and am pretty excited that Dr. Angelou wrote a poem for the New York Observer (in the spirit of Still I Rise) in support of Hillary for President.
A dear friend also sent me a note with the passionate (open) letter that Toni Morrison wrote to Barack Obama, expressing her support for his candidacy.
It really is, I think, a very different time from 2000 or 2004. Two of the most amazing women alive today are both inspired by two of the most amazing candidates we’ve ever had for commander-in-chief.
